Cycling & Hiking

Due to its location, our holiday home is a great starting point for extensive cycling tours and hikes. The green hills of the Hunsrück are crossed by a variety of cycling and hiking trails, ranging from easy to challenging, there is a route for everyone. For hikers, the 410 km of the Saar-Hunsrück Climb is ideal. This series of trails passes directly through Morbach and its various stages are also great for shorter day trips.

Erbeskopf: Gateway to the National Park

The Hunsrück is a low mountain range. The Erbeskopf is its highest point at 816 m/2677 ft. above sea level. An extensive adventure centre has developed around the mountain, offering plenty of fun not only in winter, but year-round with a toboggan run, high ropes course, and hiking trails.

The Erbeskopf is located in the middle of the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park, where more than 10,000 hectares (39 sq. mi.) of natural landscape is being preserved for the future. Explore the almost untouched nature on foot, by bike, or even on horseback. Trained rangers offer various tours of the national park.
